EGG is a founder-led building-intelligence initiative in Sweden. We are developing a physics-based way to reconstruct how structural elements have degraded over a building's lifetime, so institutions can decide which buildings to investigate, finance and renovate first.
EGG is founded by Andrej Hurta, an architect and planner with experience on both the municipal and investor side of development. At MAPPA, the municipal studio for spatial planning and architecture, he worked with the data team on geodata interpretation and GIS-based decision tools, and built planning methodologies from scratch. At CTP Invest he assessed 24 sites totalling 200,000 m² for development suitability — the portfolio-scale screening problem EGG now automates. He is completing an MSc in Architecture and Planning Beyond Sustainability at Chalmers University of Technology.
We are in discussion with Fraunhofer IBP about a collaboration on the algorithmic foundation of the stress simulation. No agreement is in place yet.
For municipalities, energy leaders, lenders and research organisations assessing the method or a potential collaboration.
